The ULAT is born as a consequence of the effort to improve the building worker’s critical social security condition, and as the result of entering into a Social security and union negotiation’s agreement between the Ministry of Labour and Social and The Argentinean Building Workers Union [from Spanish Unión Obreros de la Construcción de la República Argentina, UOCRA]. The main objective is to promote the participation in the process of benefits defending our members´ social security rights. This new tool, which has been incorporated to the Social Net by UOCRA since 1999, is part of a program developed by the National Administration of Social Services [Spanish acronym ANSeS] with the objective of improving the services granted to the workers by this entity, and also increasing the branches. In these places, trade unionists will receive information and advice about the services offered by the ANSeS and there will be no need to go to the public attention headquarters.
